About us

Professional, Practical, Efficient, Enjoyable.

OUR STORY

Queensland Boat Licence

Queensland Boat Licence is a specialist marine training provider focused on delivering professional, practical and personalised Queensland Boat Licence and Jet Ski Licence training.

Our philosophy is simple: marine training should be professional, practical, efficient and enjoyable.

OUR APPROACH

More than just a licence

Obtaining a marine licence is an important step, but we believe the experience should be about more than simply completing a checklist or passing an assessment.

Our training is designed to help candidates develop the knowledge, practical ability, confidence and safety awareness required to become responsible operators on Queensland waterways.

We have created our training experience around the things that matter most to our candidates; experienced instructors, small groups, personalised attention, efficient scheduling and genuine practical training.

EXPERIENCE

Experience you can learn from

Our training team includes Master Class 5 marine trainers with extensive experience across Australia, including more than 15 years of industry experience.

That experience allows our trainers to bring real-world marine knowledge into the training environment.

Candidates benefit from instructors who understand vessels, waterways, changing conditions and the practical responsibilities that come with being a skipper or PWC operator.

We focus on explaining the reason behind safe boating practices, rather than simply teaching candidates how to get through an assessment.

Modern, clean & comfortable equipment

As a small family-operated business, we deliberately choose a different approach from high-volume training operations.

Our vessels, equipment and facilities are maintained to provide a clean, comfortable and professional environment for every candidate.

Professional training beyond the basics

Our training days are carefully organised to keep the process structured and efficient, while still allowing the time required to develop competency.

Where appropriate, we share additional knowledge relating to boat handling, PWC operation, navigation, weather awareness, safety and real-world decision-making.

A GENUINE CONNECTION

A genuine connection to the marine environment

Queensland is fortunate to have incredible waterways and marine ecosystems, and we believe everyone who enjoys them has a responsibility to help look after them.

We have a strong appreciation for the marine environment and the responsibility that comes with using Queensland's waterways.

Our training team includes marine biologists, providing an additional perspective on marine ecosystems, wildlife and responsible interaction with the environment.

We believe being a responsible skipper means considering more than your own vessel. It means understanding the impact of boating on other waterway users, marine life and the waterways themselves.

SAFETY FOCUS

Safety is at the centre of what we do

Marine conditions can change quickly, and responsible boating requires sound judgement.

Our training places strong emphasis on safety, preparation, awareness and responsible decisionmaking.

Practical training is conducted in accordance with the applicable Queensland BoatSafe requirements, with approved BoatSafe training organisations operating under the oversight and requirements of Maritime Safety Queensland.

We take that responsibility seriously.

OUR BELIEF

"Better training creates better operators."

We want candidates to finish their training with more than a completed assessment.

We want them to leave with greater knowledge, confidence, awareness and respect for the responsibility that comes with operating on Queensland's waterways.
